I tried using my new Wii last night on the internet. The Wii console uses the Opera browser. From one came the other, so after setting some favourites (this site, orana.info, amis, etc.) and trying stuff like “posting comments” and “reading email” via the Wii console; I started browsing YouTube.
Here I really enjoyed Radiohead’s latest free movie on YouTube. This film with Radiohead in it, made for New Year’s Eve, 2007. As said there: Features every song on their new album “In Rainbows”, the “physical manifestation” out now in stores. So along the “free” download off the new “In Rainbows” music. You also can now see Radiohead’s movie “Scotch Mist” via YouTube.
What really made my evening though were those great “Rayman Raving Rabbids” movies for the new (Wii?) game “Rayman Raving Rabbids II”. The comic content is apparently more extreme, because I saw that it is now rated in the USA with a solid “10+” rating… (great that the Wii has parental controls – but who controls the controler, aka “me”… ๐ ).
Who controls the controlers…especially if you read some nerd Wii issues combining Oracle with Wii technology: Wii*Plus…
A hot YouTube tip, by the way, from my nephew Chris: “Jeff Dunham – Achmed the Dead Terrorist” (apparently I am not on-track on this, because it is already “internet” old news)

I just downloaded the Opera browser + Donkey Kong on my Wii for 10โฌ. Browsing on TV is nice, I believe. My wife has not the same opinion as we have only one TV ๐
Hmmm, I sometimes wonder, because
1) the opera browser / Wii part doesn’t alway scale correctly
2) It runs out of memory when trying to open a heavy based flash site
3) the flash player software is not up to date
4) and there is no way (afaik) updating this.
